This morning, Jan. 26th, 2012, I watched Dr. Manny Alverez as he walked out to be interviewed on Fox Network, scratching his imaginary sores, in mocking condescension of people the medical world has again failed...people in pain suffering from Morgellons disease. I had not heard of this condition before. A study involving 110 women suggested that it was not contagious and not caused by insects, so it had to be a disease created by mentally unstable women, since 1/3 were on drugs used to treat neurological disorders. I ask, what percentage of the population is on anti-depressants, and with this kind of pain and rejection, who would blame them? Then the common symptoms were described and once again, what I saw as a possible MSG toxicity related disorder, was deemed a figment of the imagination. Dismissed by this doctor as a psychiatric problem, as many doctors sometimes define Fibromyalgia, I couldn’t help but feel empathy. I suffered from the same skin lesions described and shown on this program and Good Morning America (ABC) before I eliminated MSG and its neurotoxic cousin additives from my diet. I did some research, and learned that the main symptoms many people with Morgellons report, are the same as some of those with MSG/aspartame toxicity, more specifically fatigue, itching, burning skin or skin disorders, joint pain, and brain fog. In the ABC report, a Dr. Anne Oaklanda of Massachusetts General Hospital Boston said, “Morgellons might stem from damage to the nerves that transmit the itch sensation. This causes them to fire without appropriate cause, and it’s natural that people interpret this as sensation of insects crawling on the skin”, she said. People, MSG has been proven over and over again to over stimulate neurons in the brain, causing many varying conditions. It can fire nerves in muscles, and more than likely skin. It is a vasoconstrictor and inflammatory agent. I did some research and read about Randy Wymore, a researcher at Oklahoma State University and have included a link to one of the many sites featuring him. He disagrees with doctors who dismiss such patients. He had two physicians take fibrous tissue samples (there are fine filaments that seem to grow in the skin of some patients, which I have experienced in the past) from Morgellon patients who visited the Oklahoma State Center for Health Sciences in Tulsa. He gave them to the Tulsa Police Department Forensic Lab. Police checked them against carpet and clothing samples and other materials (although, today’s reports suggested that’s what they were), and conducted chemical analyses and other tests. Nothing matched, said Mark Boese, the police lab’s director. “How it is being produced, I don’t know”, Boese said. He theorized the fibers could be produced by human hair follicles that somehow encapsulated pollutants processed by the body. This makes perfect sense to me, considering all the toxins in our food, air, and water. I suggest that the highly dangerous neurotoxins being added to our foods to enhance the flavor of processed foods and to mask the off flavors of chemicals and factory created fillers, preservatives and dyes, are taking a huge toll on our health. Tests, many posted on our site and at our discussion board, and included in our book, are now pointing to MSG, aspartame and l-cysteine (the most widley used neurotoxic food additives), as possible causes for the huge and rapid rise in many neurological disorders, including Alzheimer’s, Autism, ADD, and more. Patients continue to be misdiagnosed with ailments from asthma to Lupus, when they are really suffering from MSG toxicity. We are hearing from such people continually. Read some of their stories that we share on our site, book, and discussion board.
I found the following information and quotes very interesting.
